Boys and girls in grades 3-6 can sign up to play for Ephrata in the Moses Lake AAU league. Eight games over four Saturdays between Oct. 17 and Nov. 21. Sign up by Oct. 2.

What the $75 covers
Every player needs their own AAU membership for insurance and league play. You buy the membership directly from AAU. New AAU players should wait until they're placed on a team. The league charges $450 per team, split evenly among the players. Depending on team size, that works out to about $45-55 each. Your coach collects it. Jerseys cost extra, and your coach will coordinate them with your team.
What your player needs
Every player needs a pair of shoes worn only inside the gym, for all games and practices. They don't have to be special basketball shoes. Players should arrive in their street shoes and change into their court-only shoes at the gym.
This helps our school district take care of its gym floors, and our use of the gyms depends on following this rule. If your child needs help getting a pair of court-only shoes, please let us know.
Each player needs their own ball, sized by grade.

We need coaches
Every team needs a coach, and the number of teams we can field depends on how many adults step up. If you can give four Saturdays and a few practices, we'd love to hear from you. We'll walk you through the AAU coach requirements.
